Barcelona and Salou

Brilliant Barcelona! A city of great interest, history, architecture, sport, culture and fun!

Fabulous shopping available on the famous Las Ramblas, fun and games at Port Aventura, football and stadium tours at Camp Nou, stunning architecture at La Sangrada Familia. Barcelona has all the attractions needed for a school tour - no wonder it is so popular!

Our second city, Salou is just an hour's drive from Barcelona. It has some beautiful beaches and is also packed with entertainment for all ages, from watersports to an aqua park, go-karting and not forgetting one of Europe's most thrilling theme parks, Universal's Portaventure.

Additional Info:

City Tour:

A guided tour to include some of the main highlights in Barcelona including Plaça de Catalunya, Columbus Statute, Las Ramblas, Gothic Quarter, Gaudi houses, the wonderful Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia - probably Barcelona's most famous landmark and Gaudi's best known artistic work. (although not fully complete, the Temple of the Holy Family can only be described as simply awe-inspiring!).

Camp Nou:

Football is a near-religion in Barcelona and FC Barcelona has the world's highest football club membership. The Museu del Barca has fascinating displays. The museum was inaugurated on 24 September 1984, is in the main stand and covers an area of 4,000 square meters and is distributed over two floors. There are also exhibitions about the various sporting sections, the club's centenary, a multi-use area and two audio-visual displays, one depicting the club's history and the other the team's best goals. The second floor houses the club's artistic collection, made up of works from the F.C. Barcelona art exhibitions of 1985 and 1987 and of important donations from well -known artists. There's also a shop and cafe.

Port Aventura:

A thrilling blend of excitement awaits you at the only Universal Studios theme park in Europe. An extraordinary journey around the world to discover five fascinating regions - the charming Mediterrània, ancient China, exotic Polynesia, the wild Far West and all the joy of México - and enjoy their cultures, cuisine, traditional dances and lush vegetation. Unbeatable thrills, intense adrenaline rushes. Wild rides to take even the bravest´s breath away! The endless selection of park shows will transfer you to a world of excitement and fantasy.

Montserrat Sanctuary:

The Montserrat Sanctuary is located 50 km outside of Barcelona. If you go by car or coach to the Sanctuary, there is a manned car park run by the Mount Montserrat Tourist Board. The money collected, apart from paying for watching over the vehicles, is used to provide the visitor with other services, such as the lighting, cleaning and maintenance of the Natural Park. The Mount Montserrat Natural Park is unique in Catalonia for its flora and fauna. It is a perfectly individualised and homogenous setting as far as geological and geomorphic characteristics are concerned. It is a mountain mass that is unique in the world due to its dimensions and such unusual and spectacular shapes. The mountain was officially declared a Natural Park in 1987 in order to guarantee its future well-being and the Mount Montserrat Tourist Board is in charge of running it.
